Happy New Year And Decade From Wisconsin
Happy New Year and decade from Wisconsin! What an exciting time to be alive, to actually get to be apart of 2020. We are now officially living in the future of science fiction. I can’t wait to see what new technology is going to be developed, welcome to the roaring 20’s.
The day before New Years Eve we got quit a bit of snow. The landscape was just beautiful and the snow was still sticking to the trees today, so I my sidekick and I took a drive to see the winter wonderland.
The clouds cleared and the sun shined brightly on fresh fallen snow. We hadn’t seen the sun in several weeks, so it was a beautiful sight with the snow glistening in its light.
As we were driving along the country roads, we happened to come along an old abandoned school house. Oh how I’d love to restore this little country school. Sometimes people just don’t realize what they have.
The sun was going down and the moon was coming up. The day’s now getting longer but winter is getting colder.
Quadrantids Meteor Shower
On January 3rd-4th, the Quadrantids Meteor Shower will put on a brief, but impressive celestial light show. So keep your eyes to the night sky, there is a lot going on in the January evenings.
New Year’s Eve Moon: at 32.2% full, Waxing Crescent. The next full moon of 2020 is January 10th, the Wolf Moon. The first full moon of the decade.
Wolf Moon Eclipse
During the Wolf Full Moon it will also be going through a Lunar Eclipse. This will take take place on the 10th-11th for most of the world, so I’m hoping for warmer weather and a clear night sky. I’ve photographed a few lunar eclipses and they are amazing to watch through my camera. The moon never fails to share its impressive show. I always seem to see something new on its face.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and Decade From Wisconsin!
